Upcoming King School Events

King PTA Fundraiser at Old Town Pizza

Tuesday evening, February 16th from 5:00-8:00 pm, come to Old Town Pizza at Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and Sumner to eat and drink to support King School.  If you don't have a voucher, you can pick them up in the office or click here.  

Kindergarten/Pre-Kindergarten Round-up

This year's round-up will be on February 25th at 1:30 and 5:30.  Enter through the main entrance which faces 6th avenue and go in to the library.  You can meet the teachers, look in on active classes (1:30 only) and tour the school.  Ask us about the benefits of sending your child to King and make an informed decision.  If you can't attend the two round-up times, schedule a visit or contact the PTA at info@pta.org.  This coming year, the pre-kindergarten program will return to full-day. We need to find out how many parents are interested in King's pre-k program to see if we will need to add an additional class.  If you want to be kept up to date, let us know how to reach you.

PTA Meetings-Monthly

The PTA meets on the first Thursday of each month.  Our next meeting is January 7th at 6:00pm in the Library.  Dinner will be provided at 5:30 and you can meet the members before the meeting.  Our membership goal for the year is 50 paid members.  Dues are $10 for the year.

Childcare, dinner and translation services provided.  Join us!

Site Council-Monthly

The site council is made up of teachers, parents, staff, and community members working together to develop and implement the School Improvement Plan.  This is the forum for boosting academics and achievement for all King students.  Meetings are monthly at 3:30 on the second Tuesday in the school library.  If you cannot attend, you can stay informed by contacting the PTA at info@kingpta.org or call the school and ask to be put on the contact list.
